Telangana’s upcoming GCC policy is expected to focus on attracting innovation-led, high-value companies across frontier technology sectors including AI, quantum, semiconductors, spacetech, aerospace & defence, and advanced life sciences.
As Telangana IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said:
“Companies, he said, are choosing the city ‘not just for scale, but to build high-value global capabilities.’”
He further stated:
“Our ambition is to add 100 more GCCs, creating 1 lakh direct and 3 lakh indirect jobs.”
Sai Krishna, IT Adviser, Telangana Govt, also highlighted the importance of innovation depth:
“For us, the real measure of success is not just the number of innovation centres. It is the depth of innovation they bring to the city.”
The direction is clear: Hyderabad’s GCC ecosystem is increasingly moving beyond traditional delivery models towards innovation, products, platforms and high-value global capabilities.
